New Client Development Specialists Bring 20 Years of Legal Technology Expertise to Client Profiles

With a combined 20 years of business development experience in the legal technology industry, Karen Clifford and David Grabner bring expert insights to Client Profiles after joining the company as regional sales managers.

"Karen and David have each spent the last decade working closely with law firms across the country," said Dave Hutchinson, executive vice president of sales and marketing. "Their solid past performances and in-depth knowledge of the services our clients need make them the perfect new additions to our growing team."

Both Karen and David come to Client Profiles from Thompson Reuters' ProLaw, a direct competitor of Client Profiles.

As a sales manager with ProLaw for more than a decade, Karen played a key role in boosting sales and revamping the company's sales department. Because of her customer-focused mentality, Karen looks forward to helping law firms achieve their goals on behalf of Client Profiles.

"This is a company that has focused on one thing - delivering the best suite of law firm management tools in the industry. David Grabner joins Client Profiles after more than nine years as a regional sales manager at ProLaw. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Law after completing undergraduate studies at Wabash College and is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico. David's deep understanding of law firms and their individual needs makes him a trusted advisor for clients looking at legal technology solutions.

Karen, a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of New Mexico, will be in charge of development for the Western U.S. region, and David will oversee new business in the Middle Atlantic territory. They will be representing the case and financial management software systems.

The partnership between Client Profiles and Microsoft Dynamics has been highly successful for both companies, a fact that was on display at the annual Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington, D.C. In front of a crowd of 14,000 people, Client Profiles' president and CEO Whit McIsaac took the stage to accept the 2010 Partner of the Year in Professional Services award. This is the second year in a row that the company has earned that distinction, an accomplishment that only a handful of companies achieve.

Client Profiles was also chosen as the Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV) of the year for 2010. The award recognizes Microsoft's top software developer, across all products and markets. This honor was highly competitive, with Client Profiles selected from more than 12,000 ISVs in the U.S.

"We are honored by the praise we have received from Microsoft Dynamics this year," said McIsaac. "A lot of hard work has gone into our products and services and we are appreciative of the continued recognition and support we have been given from Microsoft."

Client Profiles was also named to the Microsoft President's Club in recognition of the company's exceptional overall performance in delivering valuable solutions to Microsoft Dynamics customers. This distinction means that Client Profiles will receive early access to Microsoft technology that is being developed, allowing Client Profiles to provide its clients with the best possible software as soon as it is ready for the market.

Microsoft has said it will continue to be supportive of this "mutually rewarding partnership" as time goes on. According to McIsaac, Client Profiles is looking forward to future work with Microsoft.

ILTA in Las Vegas

Everyone is excited about the upcoming ILTA (International Legal Technology Association) event in Las Vegas (August 23-26) at the brand new Aria Resort in the City Center Complex; we expect there to be a record attendance for an event that continues to grow year-after-year. Client Profiles will be showcasing several new products and new initiatives, including: the brand new Profiles Case and Financial Version 9.0 with advanced integrated document management functionality, as well as a brand new user interface; the CRM4Legal team will be showing the new "xRM" extended Dynamics CRM application development framework that is designed to allow firms to build thier own custom CRM functionality on Microsoft's powerful xRM platform; and the CP Financial group is going to be introducing a new rearchitected front-office/back-office integration.

CP will also be holding the annual Texas Hold-em Tournament at the Aria poker room - we have room for up to 200 players and it looks like there will be approximately $5,000 in prize money and give-aways... keep a look out for an email or register at the Client Profiles website for the "Real Deal Poker Tourney"...

What a week!!! Client Profiles named both US ISV Partner of the Year and Partner of the Year for the Professional Services marketplace; CP principals had 5 speaking engagements at the conference, including the session where Kevin W showed the brand new Case & Matter Tracking functionality on Microsoft CRM 2011 (this used to be called CRM5); at the end of the week, this session ended up as the 4th most popular session (out of a total of 230 sessions). Nice job Kevin - based on the reviews, you hit the "bulls-eye" with you content and presentation - the market has been waiting for an enterprise level case & matter information tracking system like this... The CP team also met with 9 strategic geographic delivery partners to formalize the "worldwide" reach of the CRM4Legal solution. These groups are very excited about thier relationships with Client Profiles and it makes all the sense in the world for us to be working closely with these partners to deliver a collaborative solution. Microsoft meetings filled the balance of the week, with more than 15 one-on-one sessions with the Microsoft executives, product, partner, regional markets, international and development teams... It is fair to say that the week was enormously successful for Client Profiles...

To the entire Client Profiles family, including our employees, clients, and our partners, I can't thank you enough for all the effort and energy that you all have invested to make our little company such a great organization! Client Profiles received some incredible recognition from Microsoft at the Partner Awards Dinner in Washington DC last night. We were the only Partner to be recognized with two awards. Initially, CP was named Worldwide Dynamics Partner of the Year for the Professional Services Industry. Kirill Tatarinov from Microsoft announced that Client Profiles delivered the highest level of customer satisfaction of the nominees (over 3,000 partners were nominated), 444% growth in Microsoft licensing, and 650% growth in new customer adds!

The second award was a huge surprise, as Client Profiles was named the US ISV of the Year! For those of you that are not familiar with Microsoft Terminology, this award goes to the top Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (software development company) in the US, across all products and all markets! There are over 12,000 ISVs in the US and Client Profiles was one of 4,200 nominated organizations. This award was huge, because it covers all of the Client Profiles software groups, including case, financial and CRM. With a client base of more than 1,800 clients, and a commanding share of the marketplace, CP has an incredible amount of momentum going into the new Microsoft fiscal year. Dave Willis from Microsoft told a crowd of more than 500 attendees about all the success that Client Profiles has demonstrated over the past year and praised the deep vertical focus in the legal marketplace.

To the team, this award demonstrates how much your efforts are recognized by Microsoft! Congratulations on building such a wonderful organization and thank you for everything that you all do for our clients! You guys are right where you deserve to be -- "at the top"!

We just finished our Awards Luncheon with the Microsoft executive team. Client Profiles was honored as the only returning CRM ISV award winner. It was nice to spend a little time with Steve B, who was very instrumental with the Reed Smith project a few years back (he wants to know if we are taking care of The Reed Smith firm)...
